I'm having the same problem I did last week. Everytime I plug my iPod in to syce I get a message :The iPod cannot be synced due to an unknown error (-48).
I'm afraid to try and restore it because I'm not sure if anything will sync back onto it. Any suggestions? I tried disk mode, I've reset it 10+ times...

Producer/Remixer/Recording Artist/ and House Music Aficionado seeks house and dance music producers located within Manhattan or Brooklyn. I have a myspace page, and you should too, or at least an mp3 of your music.

If you're looking for mainstream pop music to become the next Britney or Miley, this isn't for you. Dance music piano players a BIG plus. Unfortunately times are rough, and I can't gve you a cash advance, but several labels are interested in me, and I would be more than willing to work out royalties in your favor, provided the music is worth putting on the record at all.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Itunes won't redownload Jul. 17th, 2009 @ 01:42 am

My computer shut down and restarted in the middle of my itunes updating, now Itunes won't download back onto my computer. It keeps telling me "You do not have sufficient privileges to complete this installation for all users of the machine. Log on as an administrator and then retry this installation." Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried restarting many times, I'm the only user on my computer and I don't know what else to try.

I wish I could easily sue your ass... Jul. 14th, 2009 @ 01:27 am

I am working off a rebuilt pc after my old one died years ago.

I installed itunes, because I thought I would like the interface. i was wrong.

It told me I had to repurchase all my old songs. I said no thank you, and uninstalled the POS software, going back to the minimalistic VLC playlist instead.

Thing is, ALL of my .m4p files will not play sound anymore. None of them.

It's like Apple stripped all my songs away because it doesn't trust me, because iTunes said so.

Anyway to fix these files?

I don't want it anymore, stop trying to download it! Jul. 13th, 2009 @ 12:08 pm

I attempted to download a free TV show episode, not realizing it was over a gig - I have a small hard drive put aside specifically for my iPod and it currently has just under a gig free. The damn show keeps trying to download, no matter how many times I "delete" it from the list. Every time I open iTunes, I get an error message that "all downloads have been paused" due to low disk space, and when I check the download list, there it is again... or rather, there they are again, there's also an HD version trying to download that's almost twice as big. So it's continuously trying to download neary 3 gigs of something I no longer want, and it's preventing me from downloading anything new. Help?

iPod Touch Jul. 12th, 2009 @ 11:10 pm

Ok, so I've commited to buy myself an iPod touch. The App envy has gotten too much for me. lol ;)

So I want to ask any iPod Touch owners out there... is the 3.0 upgrade worth it? I've heard mixed reviews some love it, some hate it nothing works, some say 3rd party apps don't work after installation, and some say the Wi-Fi is spotty after. Any thoughts? My orginal thought was to see what deals I can get. I know, the price is the price, is the price, no matter where you go. However like Best Buy this week has a free $15 card with the purchase of the 8 gig iPod, but I want the 16 gig, so I am inclined not to get it, but I think I would like some kind of deal. I'd love to have the 32 gig but frankly, while I am willing to go an extra $70 for the middle one, I can't see paying another $100 (prices are $229, $299, & $399) for the 32 gig. The 5th gen I have now is 30 gigs, and I've never used more than 10, so I probably would be safe. Plus I'd have to pay the $10 upgrade fee, (free only to iPhone not iPod) because you know I want it to rock, unless the upgrade bites, in which case I either need to get one in the stores now, or wait until Apple releases theirs with 3.0 already installed with hopefully any bugs fixed.

The price is basically the same everywhere, so my options would be to wait until school starts, and get my school discount 10%, or wait and see if they have a back to school deal on the 16 gig at Best Buy, you know either a free accessory, a Best Buy or iTunes card to buy either accessories like a case or maybe some apps from iTunes?

What do you think?

iPod Shuffle Problem Jul. 11th, 2009 @ 12:46 pm

I'm sorry if I'm not supposed to post this here or something. .___.

I already know what I'll probably be told but I'm new to Shuffles so maybe I might just be mistaken. I just bought this iPod Shuffle refurbished, plugged it in last night and tried to let it charge (because I thought that was what it needed?) so when I woke up this morning it still had no other lights on it. When I put it on and off the dock it gave me the continuous orange lights. I tried to look up what that meant but the Shuffle doesn't do anything other than flash. It doesn't come up on iTunes or anywhere else on my computer either. Can someone help me?

I'm using itunes 8.1? So even if I got it working...? It's a Shuffle 2nd gen and I'm running Windows, if that helps.
I am feeling: upset

Does anyone know or heard anything about a 7th Gen ipod?

I've had my 5th Gen 30GB Classic since 2006 and I've been wanting to buy a new one for more space but was holding out in hope of a new generation since last September.

Also, what's the longest someone's ipod lasted? I'm not in a hurry to buy one but I'd like an idea of how long I have since I need to back up my music library.

I am having a (really frustrating!) problem.

I plug in my iPod classic (120 GB, 6th gen, if that'll help at all) to sync, everything's going just fine, it says it's copying...and then, I get a message "This iPod cannot be synced due to an unknown error." I reset it twice, and I still get the same message.

Now, this iPod's not even 2 months old...and it works just fine, I unplug it and it plays and everything...I opened our other library and synced my mom's iPod and it worked just fine. How can I fix this (w/out restoring it, hopefully..it'll take forever to resync 22 GB and I'm going on a trip tomorrow)?

Here's a screen cap of the error message.

Thanks for any advice.
